sounds like they are! yoship talked the other day wanting to use tomestones for stuff other than ilvl, and he talked about how with todays society hardly allowing time for 6+ hour sessions, making 1 or 2 hours sessions still feel accomplished and fun. i'm sure we'll see more at fanfest :]

i feel like theres A Lot of potential to lift xiv back up to the spot it deserves. i cant say i don't understand the hesitation to break the mold after what happened with 1.0, but sticking to the same formula will only lead it ruin especially in today's mmo climate. Anyways i am very excited for 8.0

and it is changing & that's awesome! the puzzle portion of the newest msq was such a welcome change and i hope they continue with stuff like that. what yoship mentioned about the modernization of xiv seems promising. i love the idea of using tomestones for stuff other than raising ilvl. Let's Do It.

sorry i played an hour of xiv today and i have thoughts. And these posts arent even "xiv bad" i Do really enjoy it. and i want to enjoy it like i once did. the charm is there, what made it special is Still There. it just needs to get with the times. point a to b quest and fetch quests are dated

i still stand by dawntrail being one of the best expansions storywise (also probably on account of the yuri bias) but from a gameplay aspect its so stale, which isnt dawntrails fault but just the culmination of years of se playing it safe. i'm glad that's recognized and there's a plan to resolve it
