And how he reciprocates when he saves Bastila from the dark side and forgives her as well. And the common thread is compassion, though for Revan and Bastila it's love, not so different with Luke and Vader.

Is forgiveness easy? Hell no! I'm sure Luke struggled a lot between Episode V and VI to find it in him to forgive Vader for the pain he caused him, his friends, and countless others. But it is the first step in the path towards healing. Just like the Jedi Order forgave Revan in KOTOR.

is enough at least someone he cares about deeply acknowledged him and forgave him despite all the evil Vader did. It's a no-brainer if one understands empathy really. I think people tend to forget the Star Wars world has both good and bad scattered around. Same with individual people.

So it becomes a case of "Let's remove that awful influence first, and hopefully it can help the victims out somewhat". Now I personally think the Rebellion would not have just given Vader a pass if he survived the Death Star 2 drama (execution chance high). But he wouldn't have minded, because it

Luke realizes Vader has been bereft of love throughout all his dark days, and that was the key to bring him back. Vader is a villain, but he is also still human. So directing the focus on Sheev makes more sense. Not so different than being upset with Ozai over what happened to Azula.

Huh. I think Luke is still salty he lost a hand to Vader lol, but learning just how twisted Vader is BECAUSE of the Emperor, now that is a different story. If anything, Luke can be upset at the Emperor for messing up his father. Not to excuse Vader's actions, but empathize.

I love the OT, but I grew up with the PT, so I have a special place in my heart for them. And Episode III is my favorite Star Wars movie ever. 😃

What about "Somehow Palpatine returned?" I actually prefer that over the Fornite event of Palpatine announcing himself cos the former makes me chuckle. 😆

The hair style did it for me when we watched Princess Monoke. I was like "HOLD UP! THAT LOOKS ODDLY FAMILIAR". 😆

Both are great stories and characters!

They make money, they definitely will do another one. That is most studios today. Not about doing quality storytelling, but if it gets them big bucks and has positive trends on social media...sad...

Well, that was quite the review. Not to say I was going to watch it in theaters, but now, I wonder why bother watch it at all when I have the cartoon I adored so much as a kid.

Seems like yet another example of "live-action" ruining a timeless classic. Shame on them...😭

Valid. Some people go way too nuts in these wavelengths, that's for sure lol.

I treat it as a harmless exercise of "what-ifs". In some franchises I support shipping, but those are mostly "crack" ships as in, that's just my mind having fun with the concepts. Like in actual practice and canon, no lol.

Dang...You re-contextualizing the Rebellion now. 😅
