DR ratings can go up - and down
Giving everyone a dofollow link directly after submitting was a bad idea - immediate drop from 21 to 13. Now it's only after they launched and sky rocketed back to 25.

The other is developer tools. That one is kinda tough. The "I'll make it myself" it not uncommon. How do you deal with that?

Could’ve called it "CleanSignups" or "BotShield" or something safe.
But I went with Bottyfier.
It’s weird. Memorable. A little punk.
Like the indie SaaS builders it’s made for.
Not enterprise polish. Just raw protection that works
