In my high school canteen like 25 years ago I watched someone get up from their table and try to put their crossbody bag over their head while still holding a tub of yoghurt, and they dumped the entire pot of yoghurt into their own hair. I think you had to be there but it still makes me laugh.

I had like a nanosecond of joy when I started to see chatter on here about a plot to oust Starmer and then before the 'yay' was even out of my mouth I realised it would be Wes up next and the joy was gone. Sigh.

I saw manicures described online the other day as like going to the hand dentist, and it was so relatable 😬😂

There is a beautiful memoir by a young Australian woman Fiona Murphy called The Shape of Sound that I can highly recommend reading. Not because it will change any of what you’re experiencing, just because it deals with the complex emotions around progressive deafness & might resonate x
