1 in 20 girl children, who live with their father, will be sexually abused by them. That number goes down to 1 in 7 when it is a stepfather. There is very little taboo about that, just as much as there is very little non-political about that. Child abuse is always political.

Fascists who are more than happy to let the most common form of sexual abuse enacted upon children go unnoticed! Left unpunished. After all, who is there to punish if it’s not happening? “It’s such a taboo!” But incest does happen. All the time.

The eroticization of incest. The depoliticization of incest. And— wait for it— the humor our culture has found in the topic of incest that’s sourced from both of these. All of it goes hand in hand with the politics of fascists.

I don’t care it’s (barely) a joke either. It’s a reflection on how leftist men treat and talk amongst themselves about women still. The hatred I feel for leftist men, who advocate for women only so long as she remains sexually available to them, knows no bounds.

I have also made a not-quite-yet exhaustive google drive compiling the works of Louise Armstrong, whom I consider to be the most influential writer on incest and child sexual abuse from a (radical) feminist perspective.
