What if inanimate objects are sentient—and use US to move from place to place? It would explain why we either have NO pens/scissors/flash drives, etc. or 16, and why as soon as we give up and buy more, the rest immediately show up. Just saying… (TY to Bergdorf-Goodman for the window display!)
