It is fixed! I don't know if it's the new SIM or the latest Android update, but phone calls are now going through. Whew.

It is not. Mine is Amaysim on the Optus network, the other is Telstra.
I know that could be a factor, but it's not one I can do anything about.
Have ordered a replacement SIM to see if that helps.

So far I've mostly stuck to the "people I'm following" feed, blocks are people specifically following me that I don't think are in good faith. Blocking or at least muting as a broader feed management tool sounds intriguing.
