Until I get a response, I'm unconvinced that this is as simple as BYU Athletics is trying to say, however I appreciate that they are responding to our concerns so far.

4.) Why was it different "flipping the script" to have the band this winter semester when that has been the practice for at least 10 years of cougar band?

2.) Were the directors made aware that failure to play during fall would result in band dismissal until the conference?
2.) Did Athletics offer any additional compensation for band members or the band program?

I’ve had many LGBTQ and alt youth tell me that seeing my silly purple hair made them feel more accepted in their community.
I can’t tell you what it means to help younger kids feel seen, especially as an LGBT student who went to BYU.
This feels like a message that the arts are second.
