With Kubrick, the point of it is NOT to understand the film fully. It's meant to be eternally provocative. And my parents took me to see it when it opened. It was the first film I saw in a theatre; it probably should have been age restricted, or I'm this way because I'm naturally not normal.

Quiet part >> out loud. Well, if you didn't see the pattern of behavior and distraction by now, you just had it handed to you on a platter. Unfortunately for supporters of this view, knowing what the 'structures of modern government' are is the key, and they won't tell you until they smash them.

I think the observation is true, also they are interlinked, so separating them as ideas works against both problems.

His ideas and rhetoric may seem extreme in other places but his message can work in degrees and variations. My favorite (one which you can use anywhere) ‘the people of NY love their city, it’s time for NY to love them back.’

Interesting. I don't think she was terrible, but now, after seeing the NY Mayoral, there are better candidates for sure. Lets hope more surface.
