Forgot to say but USUM also has a post game arc called Rainbow Rocket where all the past villains of the series reunite to take over alola and it's pretty cool actually

I haven't played Totk bur yeah it's not a follow up to SM but an alternative and sadly a lot of the game is very similar if not the same and the biggest difference is the villain and the totems

It feels like the definitive edition of SM tbh

USUM is a retelling of SM yes, I personally prefer the story in USUM although we lose a big villain.

I think we collectively need to stop taking other people opinions about big releases because it's always big words and very harsh positioning for things that you need to experience
