Mental gymnastics. Trying to trick the mind into temporary amnesia. Like swinging on the uneven bars, it’s knowing when to grab on and knowing when it’s too late and the fall is inevitable. So you at least try to cushion the blow.

It was the kind of weight you didn’t want to put down because its heavy-ness made you feel complete.

Life ebbs and flows. I find my peace in knowing that even if the truth isn’t brought to light right now, it will eventually. Just like the ocean has low and high tide, so does everything else.
