A poem I wrote about my buddy after we watched the sun set in the park late last year. It's called A Poem For My Buddy. The subject is self-explanatory.
When the sun touches down And sends pink and orange ripples out Cross the rolled up clouds in the sky Know that you're loved If by no other person than by me If I'm gone you can start to worry But don't worry, cause right now I'm still here When the sun touches down for the last time And black reaches out of Heaven's mouth And the last lights of the night's stars blink out Signaling the end to God's long, beautiful picture show Know that someone here loved someone else If no other person than me When we're gone they can start to worry But I'm not worried, cause right now I've got you
