My one and only advice that i can give, as i am still a bit inexperienced is to try and play as much other systems as you can. I mostly play dnd, i only ran a few one shots of different ttrpgs but everytime i do i feel like i have lots and lots of ideas and ways to improve my games.

i would say so as well but my players would call anything that takes them more then 5 turns to beat a boss so it is what it is

My boss fights are only special(with specific music + some homebrew mechanics) if they are in any way connected to one of the players backstory or they are supposed to be a major villain in the plot of the campaign. Most other "bosses" (fe. in a random dungeon) are just bigger and stronger enemies.
