When I'm abroad I usually say I'm from the U. S. rather than I'm American, if asked. However, most people refer to me as American rather than any alternative when it comes up. Unfortunately, there isn't another description word to use. USian doesn't sound right.

"...snatch the benefits owed to Americans" like ACA subsidies, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and SNAP? The current administration is the one trying to snatch benefits owed to Americans.

I think it would be more meaningful to exclude children and women who we know commit these crimes in much smaller numbers.

We've all been hoping that the latest scandal will be the one that causes Trump's downfall forever. Unfortunately, MAGA world either doesn't hear about it where they get their information, they don't believe it, or they simply don't care.
