FF7 Remake was AMAZING!!! Especially the last 4 chapters. There were some points where i wasn't vibing with the gameplay, but everything clicked by the end and it was really enjoyable! Also the music was unironically 10/10, the characters were perfect, and the plot???? god LMFAO AAA REBIRTH SOON!!!!

Genuinely shocked at how enjoyable Dark Deity 2 was. I've never been so invested in a tactics game's plot or characters. Great OST, fun maps (aside from the fog of war maps...), and the build options were cool. I think this actually beat the fire emblems I've played in terms of enjoyment LMAO

Basically preferred everything in this over It Takes Two, which was already an incredible game. The plot especially was a lot more enjoyable, and good god the ending was so fucking good. Really looking forward to whatever this studio comes up with next.

I finally played a Zelda game! Loved absolutely everything about it except for the gameplay LMFAO. The gameplay was kinda hit or miss. A lot of the dungeons were fun, though! The music, Midna, and Wolf Link were especially incredible. Glad to have a Zelda game under my belt!

The gameplay was very not up my alley, but the story and characters were really good. The conclusion especially was emotionally up there with games like Omori, PMD EoS, and THAT part of Octopath 2. I think it'd be in my top 25 if I liked the gameplay tbh.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Definitely didn't like it as much as SotN, but taking abilities from monsters was neat and some of the boss fights and characters were cool. Honestly don't have too much more to say about it LMFAO

Castlevania: SotN
Enjoyed my time with it! A few decisions I did not vibe with (mostly the amount of hitstun and getting corner locked by bosses), but the map was really fun and the story and characters were great. Glad to have a Castlevania game under my belt!

Ender Lilies! I wanted to play it because Mili made the OST, but god I was not prepared for the absolute despair LMFAO. 10/10 atmosphere and music, incredible worldbuilding, satisfying & challenging boss fights with an amazing combat system (parry my beloved)... ez 9/10!!

Ender Lilies! I wanted to play it because Mili made the OST, but god I was not prepared for the absolute despair LMFAO. 10/10 atmosphere and music, incredible worldbuilding, satisfying & challenging boss fights with an amazing combat system (parry my beloved)... ez 9/10!!
Originally I wasn't going to include these because of how short they are, but Milk inside/outside a bag of milk are both amazing visual novels that tackle severe mental health issues in a very cool way. So many cool things packed into such small packages. Definitely recommend both for VN enjoyers.

Starting off strong with Hollow Knight! 100% Hollow Knight was difficult, but incredibly satisfying. I struggled with absrad a lot, but being super comfortable with a vast majority of the other bosses felt so fucking good. Definitely need to play a chill game after finishing this though LMFAO

My list of games that I beat (or poured a fuck ton of time into) in 2024. I didn't play toooo many new games this year. However, I will say that the new things I did play, I enjoyed a lot! This year gave me some of my favorite games, especially Slay the Princess and Rabbit & Steel.
