The sweet potato slips are in full swing for the Stokes Purple. The Beauregard not so much. 3 planted, 1 survivor but it has sprouted and there are leaves. Pretty happy for my 1st try. #Gardening #Gardening5B #MidwestGardening

Update on the poor little Rosemary that I had gotten from Meijer. After repotting her and letting her dry out and get some decent lighting, I have to say she's happy. I'm getting new growth. Fingers crossed for this little beauty.

Update on the poor little Rosemary that I had gotten from Meijer. After repotting her and letting her dry out and get some decent lighting, I have to say she's happy. I'm getting new growth. Fingers crossed for this little beauty.

Got a Rosemary from Meijer at pick up. The plan was to propogate it. Pic 1 is what the Rosemary was supposed to look like, pic 2 is what I got. Sad, water logged, dying. Hoping I can save it. Repotted in drier soil. In the bright sun on the windowsill. I want to cry for this poor thing. #Gardening

The Oregano is popping. Some of my babies are getting their true leaves on. Miracle of all miracles, I have a dozen leeks from 5yr old seed. I've never eaten a leek in my life but if I'm not a fan I can give them to the food pantry.

Go forth, my little onions. Rise! I was hoping for better germination but the seeds are kind of old. Old is still good. I'm glad I got this bunch and I'll start more this weekend with newer seed. The blending of the seeds, united to bring forth a better onions harvest. #Gardening

I want to try using the moon phases for gardening. If youre not familiar the Farmers Almanac has good info. When the moon is waxing you plant your veggies and fruit that grow above ground like Tomatoes and Peppers. When the moon is waning plant root crops like carrots and onions.
