Off grid living has its drawbacks. Makes you appreciate how grim life was pre electricity and petrol. Even the wood burner relies on petrol for the chainsaw.

Small trauma last night when the battery ran out of power. Obviously the lack of sunshine and heavy need for lighting was more than the solar panel could manage. Generator now running.

Yes, the lockdown effect on nature was amazing, and the general recovery of the planet once travel was greatly reduced was notable. Shame no lessons were learned.

Morning, grey here but dry, a warm front coming through. Hope the lessons go well. We had a lovely walk in the Château park at Regniere Écluse yesterday, didn't see wild boar though they had dug extensively. Tried a new restaurant, excellent.

A lovely sunny day here, the forecast is much improved too. We are planning an afternoon/evening trip to Amiens in the next couple of days.
I got my music finished and sent to my singing partner. We both have a lot of learning ahead.
