A zentangle-style doodle on a square of white paper (the corners are cut off so not quite a square). Black ink drawing of an amorphous shape that has lots of leaf-shaped (or eye shaped) decorations along the inside line. The leaves contain various patterns like lines and zigzags. The area above the shape is shaded with pencil that has been smudged. There are lines protruding into the shadows, and the ends have the shadows erased making it look like they might be casting light.

A doodle in zentangle style. Black ink on an off-white circle, divided like a pie into 8 pieces. There is an amorphous shape in the middle that covers part of each slice, dividing each one in two for 16 sections total, each one with a different pattern. Looks like a cell with organelles a little?

Abstract doodle art in black ink on an off-white square of paper. Circular motifs and squiggles with less repetition than most doodles of this type. To me it has the vibe of maybe the nucleus of a cell or some really abstract omen about the sun exploding.

Small (1.5 inch across) square doodle in black ink. Overall shape is a droplet - like tears or rain, and there are a lot of dots. The doodle is resting on a plain piece of paper and in the lower left of the photo is part of a pen - can see the logo and part of the name (Pigma Micron)

Might do some art therapy today. This one is from 2017 and I think when I posted it to Instagram or somewhere, a few friends were like “hey are you ok???” and I was like “I mean… no? but it’s nothing new, it’s the human condition right?” And then learned not everyone feels like this! Neat.

First one says “GOTTA KEEP BUSY” and below it is a room full of water labeled “tears” with an up arrow indicating we don’t want to go down there. To the right is a spiral of text saying “scroll” over and over next to a line drawing of a phone. From there it connects to a room with a cat in it that says “CATS ARE CUTE I’ll just sit here”. Then to the left of the first room is a cupcake with “HUNGRY?” representing emotional eating that leads down to a room filled with gloomy dark shadows and a human figure sitting hunched over in a cave. There are two rooms that don’t connect to anywhere else: one says “NOPE” and is filled with round objects like rocks. The other is scribbled in red and has “RAGE” in big letters.

Abstract line art in black ink on an off-white circle of paper. Divided into sections in an asymmetrical way and each section contains a different t pattern. Some are small and light and some are bold and dark. Feel is sort of frenetic to me because there is very little empty space.
