Artsy guy 💀 Your skull is a vessel
My wife mourns every now and then for a couple of days and my son talks about them all the time. They are our guiding spirits and we pray to them every night to keep our son safe. We have made arrangements to be buried together at the end.

They're still with us, because we're still with them.

I cried my heart out for Lucas, mourned for Nemo for around six months and with Maya I'm still emotionally shocked/blocked. She had an undiagnosed spleen tumor exploding suddenly during a walk. I was able to bring her back with CPR but didn't make it out of the OR. My wife & I have tattoos of them.

This year marks 11 years since Lucas, my dudley lab passed away - leukemia. 3 years since Nemo, an abandoned lab we fostered for 9 years met him due to severe complications with stomach cancer and 2 years since Maya, our bulldog princess who ruled them both, joined them at the end of the rainbow.

We are becoming obsolete to technology because that's how humans have used technology for and that's what we teach and use the tools for. To stop depending of other humans and gather all the benefits in a centralized place.

It sounds very 'The Matrix' to me and a little bit apocalyptic. But the reality is that after building a career for half of my life, I'm just a slum worker in a field where you're just a number and clients feel entitled to mistreat you as they please.

Artists became dependant of the platforms for 'exposure' and clients didn't buy anything that didn't come from said platforms. We made our creative lives dependant of the tools that were supposed to help us and now we're being excluded from each and every single part of it.

Art became dependant of the platforms and our buying decisions are also to blame here. Clients did not want to work with artists who didn't have their own clout and customers did not want artworks from 'online nobodies'.

I opened a private tattoo studio that lasted 6 months and I only had two clients. Now, I work in a call center as a customer service associate, which might be replaced by automation too. Art became only a dream as I don't have the time to draw anymore.

I used to be a graphic designer with +15 year of experience in Branding and Illustration in Bogotá, Colombia. I have a diploma in Concept art and Illustration. Thanks to the pandemic and the rise of AI tools, I lost every hope to get a job and freelance clients in just one year.
