I don’t mind the change but going from The Philadelphia Museum of Art (PMA) to Philadelphia Art Museum (PAM) is a huge miss when Art Museum of Philadelphia (AMP) was right there for the taking. Built in cool nickname.

The PMA will now be the more colloquial Philadelphia Art Museum, reflecting an institute embracing its host city.
