Students need so much help understanding the plot and characters, it takes up all the time for the unit. There is so much bias about Shakespeare before students even get to my class. We need some Billy the Bard PR.

I have a large group of Senior boys, and my vision has changed. They can tell you about Beowulf, BUT I want them to be more self aware! Can they read a room? Add to the good vibes by contributing positively to everything we do? I often wonder if they are not self-aware or they just don’t care?
