I think the U.S., being the prolific and sales minded international arms dealer that it is, just can't kick the habit of arming allies and enemies alike, regardless of the product.

Lukewarm take from an old head: the grind in both game types SHOULD be to understand the mechanics and train your skills/reflexes, but tends to fixate on number-go-up because lizard brain takes over.
