Jupiter at the resolution limits of my 90mm/1350mm Maksutov telescope. Made using a 2x Barlow doubler (2700mm focal length and f/30) and a $60 electronic eyepiece working at ISO 1600. 160 images processed with AstroSurface. See my previous post for the "before" example.

A stacked planetary image begins as a sequence of individual exposures, tonight's subject being Jupiter. My next post will feature the stacked and processed compendium of hundreds of these. The before and after should be evident.

Greetings, Bluesky community.

I still have a foot in Twitter to snoop on the crazies, but I also recognize the need to do actual socializing elsewhere. I hardly recognize the country that nurtured me and to whom I gave my best in life. I'm here to help and joy whenever I can.
