After the centre, have too much coffee in Bruntsfield, walk loads in Dean village, too much cake in Stockbridge & too much to drink (& eat) around Leith Shore. Climb some hills for some views.
Outside of Edinburgh, Glasgow for music and pubs & maybe stop for the palace at Linlithgow on the way back.
