I think that before the MAGA stench has left DC, the Supreme Court will write a law (through a decision) that makes debt hereditary for the lowly 99%. And some states will go back to legalizing slavery over debt.

Any democrat who votes to reopen with a pinky promise from the GOP should also have to promise, in writing, to not be reelected or hold an committee leadership roles (and senate minority leader) if and when Trump has his minions gut the ACA.
