Good progress on the chess game. Graphics are in alongside a cursor and move validation/visualization. The code is getting a little messy, but nothing I can't rewrite. Now comes the hard part: text input UI. #playdate #gamedev

People like posting things they're working on around here, right? I've been starting work on an asymmetric multiplayer chess game that works by passing a pseudo-randomly obscured code to the other player each turn. Currently working in a TUI, with a #playdate version in the works.

Considering Bluesky now has video support, I should probably show off the #playdate game I made. It's an adaptation of a 16th century roll-and-move game which may have served as the template for games like Candyland or Snakes and Ladders, and it's available at play.date/games/the-ga....
