Oil is still below $60/barrel. Why would any proponent step into a deal to sell oil that costs $70/barrel to produce?

So, here’s a possible scenario: The US President decides in a rage to invade Canada. After all, he’s been threatening to seize Canadian territory for a long time. The first thing the US military does is turn off the F-35, like an anti-theft state in a Tesla. What will the retired consultant do then?
