Some here seem to thing you must state a party when you register. Not true! At least where I've lived. And I have had to tell a nice older lady, back in the Bill Clinton era, she could vote for a Democrat even if she registered Republican.

I didn't think you chuckled, just that some of those who voted for 47 might have thought such threats were clever, before Trump let Doge loose on us all after he got their votes. Sorry if I was unclear. Some troll also decided I said people deserved to die, but at least you didn't.

Nobody wanted anybody washed away, but actions have consequences. The president has threatened no support to my state in the past because we didn't vote for him- back then, did that give you a chuckle? He has weakened NWS and gutted FEMA and we're all in the same pickle now.

Trump sure works fast; Putin must be thrilled. Biden was trying to earn back world trust after Trump v. 1. We put Trump back and he's utterly isolating the U.S. His/our word is no good, he threatens and ridicules our allies, he's playing like a toddler with our and the world's economy...

I can't help but believe it is unethical to accept an important job for which you have no qualifications or knowledge. That is complete waste and fraud, and an abuse of my poor, aching brain.

Not so new. Texas lt governor Patrick said grandparents would be fine with dying for the economy so Texas could open up during covid.

I figure he and others like him are the kind of "Christian" that believes once you babble something about Jesus being your lord and savior you are done and safe forever. Like that one moment in time overrides all. I'm Catholic. We don't play that.

They're purging titles from the LoC? Publishers come and go, things go out of publication; this is different. And the LoC has resources far beyond books? It is part of the legislative branch and the librarians serve Congress's information needs (I was taught); they are letting this happen?
