Yep, my sister had to go thru a full eviction process (took months!) to get rid of a bum bf of 1.5 years. She owns the house and couldn’t kick him out!!

It’s heartbreaking to have to choose between losing whatever wealth your elder loved one has built up or find another option for them.
If you’re loved one needs care, you can’t take care of them yourself, and you’re not mega wealthy, that is simply the *only* option. So they just take it all. Awful.
