It's possible. Sometimes, you have to do a bit of detective work to find out for sure. Don't be angry. Be curious. Get a magnifying glass and go look. If you see tiny black rice shapped bugs moving around, it may just be thrips. If not, start looking around. See what you can find, take a photo.
