I read somewhere that we are never aware of the last time we picked up our children. My sons are in their 40s now. A couple of times, I've told them I wanted to pick them up. One wrapped his arms around me from the back and I leaned over until his feet came off the floor. lol, I'll remember that.

When my son had to let his oldest cat go, a vet came to the house. After it was done my son made sure his other two cats saw and sniffed around their brother. They seemed to understand.

If she used to sleep on your bed, I bet you'll sometimes feel her jump up there. My dog has been gone for over 2 years but about once a week I feel him jump up.
