So Smoke didn't really have any agency to fight alongside Stack. It was a clever message by Ryan. The grifter who sells idea of freedom if you join up, but you end up a slave - timely 🤔

Great episode. 2 thoughts:
1) We saw Grace & Bo's ancestor vision but not future visions because they don't have one. P-Funk & DJs are there because they're Sami's future.

2) Remmick was selling vampirism as freedom, but reality those turned become his minions. It's just another form of slavery.

You could, of course, argue that Japan has not achieved gender equality—and you would be right. It ranks about 121st out of 147 countries. But at least it’s in the constitution, and almost everyone has healthcare.
It’s affordable and you get to choose your doctor. 👩‍⚕️
And it saved my life.
