50 pages into this book, which is terrible so far, and just noticed how non-effusive these blurbs are. The vibe is like, he wrote a book about Proust, who is great, and maybe people will like it. Pretty weak for a historian who won a Pulitzer.

Aspasius wrestles with a textual variant at NE 1152b9. You can peek over his shoulder as he reads the text in its 2cent A.D. condition, though this is made harder by corruption in his own text and the fact his variant seems different from ours. Thrilling!
