Yes, really popular writers on Substack would totally agree to have their fees spread equally among lesser talents

If you want an arrangement where many writers are equitably paid to work together to provide content, it's called a "newspaper" or "magazine"
OTOH, fees could easily be distributed equitably to each writer, and substackers have nothing like the overhead of a normal business so it's not like they're losing money even if (if!) they get less $ for one article read thru an "unlimited".
it's one company, not like "any band".
