These guys seem unlikely to have read widely but I have to wonder if they came across a copy somewhere of The White King of La Gonave by the US Marine, Faustin Wirkus, who “ruled” the island during the US invasion of Haiti 100 years ago.

I think the bill is too big and you can see the black line extending behind the eye. Also field should show chestnut in the face.

Just drive from one lifer to the next until you’re home, assuming there are some lower 48 birds out there you haven’t got.

Awesome. One of those families I am never sure how to pronounce! Do you say “treepee” or “tree-pye,” (rhymes with slice of pie)?

Pretty crazy. You would think 1/8 of a second or something. That’s a pretty radical head movement!
