A Manchester City fan and Deist with left leaning views that most align with the Nordic model. Undiagnosed associative prosopagnosia. 🤦🏾
Since Trump is arguing that there is a skills shortage, then he should sign such a bill into law when it gets to him.
My guess is that our corporate controlled politicians won't even back such a bill and even if they did, our corporate friendly President wouldn't sign it.

Not everyone but I believe a lot of Democratic voters know about the corrupting influence of corporate money.
That's why I said that we need more progressives running for office on the premise that they don't take corporate money.
Sadly, they might not win on the first few attempts.

The same way we have an AOC, Ilhan Omar, Mamdani, etc., they should follow that play book and let the people know what differentiates them from corporate Democrats. That distinction is important.
People are itching to back candidates who aren't corrupt.

This is why some people have to suffer in the short term for the long term benefit of everybody.
Putting up a fight isn't rosy, that's why it's called a fight! If you cave at the immediate sight of suffering, the devil will alleviate that immediate hunger but will take your soul.

This time, they picked those who aren't up for re-election. They'll also run candidates to replace those people, and they will most likely win. They've got a well of people to play the villain.

How to ensure this doesn't keep happening?
Only vote for those who don't take corporate money!

Knowing that she might not win if she doesn't approve of the tax increase will put good pressure on her.
I know that activist mayors, activist presidents, etc., are stuff made of fantasy, but one can dream. 😎

True. My head says keep Welbeck. My heart says Thiago or João Pedro.
It's best to go with the heart so I don't have any regrets. My heart leans heavily towards João Pedro. The upcoming two fixtures are beautiful

I already have Welbeck. Maybe I'll just keep him instead of switching to Thiago

The thing is, I already have Welbeck but was thinking of switching to Thiago. If I do, it might end up backfiring

They also know that if Mamdani succeeds, more people like him, i.e., strong progressives, would be inspired to run for office across the country.
