The hummers seem to be on the road, but the bluejays are staying. Because we're serving peanuts. I have little peanut plants growing all over the garden because the squirrels bury them.🌱

This is Kevin, the Great Blue Heron, fishing off a dock at Lake Murray in South Carolina.
My grandson and his cousins have named this heron "Kevin." They all shout "Kevin is here!" when he lands on the end of the dock. I suspect Kevin is more than one heron but I'm not going to tell them. From now on, all Great Blue Herons will be Kevin to me.
