Just started DCC yesterday and ripped thru 25%:..I’d agree with the over hype comment. It’s a kind of absurd but super fun read. I see it more a great palate cleanser than a must read.

Can’t go wrong with a Grestch. When you’re ready for the 12 string let me know. I’ve got a nice one here that’s a dust collector for me. My hands are just too small to make good use of it.

Fair point. It's never been very clear... I think it's more the fact that people don't like being told they can't do something. In reality most people don't care if they actually "own" the book or move it around.

I buy Kindle books at a usually significant discount to read on my Kindle. I have never in all my years of owning a Kindle downloaded a Kindle book to read on another device (use the App). If you want to "own" the book, buy physical copies. Digital media has never been about "owning" it. 🤷♂️

The same “Exodus” happened 2 years ago and people went back. Threads was supposed to kill X, nope. Feels like certain groups are just creating silos on different platforms and I don’t think in the end that’s a better solution.

You get to select which accounts you want to follow so it’s not that bad, depending on how many you end up having to sort through. Problem with a fresh start here is the crickets. That’s why I find the Exodus Part Deux so amusing 🤣. We’ve already played this game and people went back…

I got lots of false positives, maybe 60% were correct. Still a nice tool. Not stoked they ask for your Bsky password. Changed mine after I used it.
