Lunchtime LP: Harold Land was born on this date in 1928. He appeared on Bobby Hutchinson's album Medina which was recorded by Rudy Van Gelder in 1969 but released in 1980. Land plays both tenor and flute on this album which also included Stanley Cowell, Reggie Johnson and Joe Chambers. #jazzdky

Lunchtime LP: El Arte Del Bolero Vol. 2 by Miguel Zenon & Luis Perdomo was recorded in 2023 and released in 2024. They performed last night at the Berlin jazz club in Minneapolis and I was able to buy this from Miguel and he signed it. I highly recommend this music. It soothes the soul. #jazzsky

Lunchtime LP Joey DeFrancesco Plays Sinatra His Way was recorded in 1998 by RVG. It features Houston Person, Melvin Sparks, and Byron Landham. Joey didn't know how to make a bad record, and this is a solid one from the late, great master of the B3 and it's a joy listening to it. #jazzsky
