Well I was born in Marston green which doesn't exist now from what I understand. Moved to lower formal in Dudley as a kid , so that makes me a Yam yam ha ha.

You're welcome, I'm also from Birmingham originally. I live in Zaragoza, north eastern Spain currently. Sadly I live in the City centre so rarely get to see these kind of skies.

It's true that most of the spices we use don't naturally occur in the UK but we love a curry or two. The whole bland Britain thing probably came from people who came over had fish and chips or a sausage sarnie and based the whole of British cuisine on that.
