The Shinola Hotel made the Rayl's building its home in 2019. Built in 1915, it originally hosted the T.B. Rayl Company, a hardware and sporting goods store. Architect Wirt Rowland and its use of terra cotta on Rayl's became distinctive in Detroit. #nightseries #detroit #architecture #cityofdesign
