this one got me good the first time i read it
a krazy kat comic dated September 2nd, 1918. in the first panel, Krazy Kat and Ignatz Mouse have a conversation, Ignatz goes "Whose hash did you settle?" Krazy replies "That toff moss 'Willie Weazel', I told him what I thought of him". in the second panel, Ignatz is quite baffled with Krazy leaning smugly on nothing, Ignatz says "Do you mean to tell me you were brave enough to talk rough to "Willie Weazel. ?" Krazy replies "You're dern toottin I was." in the third panel, Krazy begins to walk off at the end of the conversation, he finishes off saying "That's what long-distinct telephones is for -". in the final panel, in a fit of rage as usual, Ignatz beans Krazy with a brick, she follows up on his previous statement "And what's more I dint tell him who was speaking".
