I like to do Easter eggs with LEGO builds using spare parts from the sets. Saturn V has Jeb on top of the LES tower, and Discovery has a spare tire on the mid-deck. Eventually I’ll find a way to sneak something into the Architecture and Botanical sets.

Haven’t been to Cedar Point but I got an early start at KI, it’s only 45 minutes away from me. Ran a fansite for a long time until retiring it due to social media decimating traffic on conventional fansites.

Just realized I hadn’t posted this on Threads or Bluesky yet, oops. This is the full version of my profile photo, standing on the observation gantry on July 7, 2011, with STS-135 Atlantis on 39A. The next morning at Jetty Park, I got to watch history as the Space Shuttle launched for the final time.

A few recent gifts from my “across-town neighbor” friend whose cousin is retired from working at KSC. He comes across older space stuff sometimes and brings them my way. Atlantis is larger than it looks in these photos and is a sturdy die-cast pullback.
