I completely agree. It is not a case of giving up, rather choosing the right battle. With Trump-supporting republicans controlling both houses of congress there is only so much that democrats can do. Calling attention to the issues that the voters care about is one of them.

Months ago the democrats did raise the alarm about the risk to democracy we were facing - it didn’t resonate with the American voters … Trump won. I fear it is too late to prevent democracy’s downfall in the US.
