A word of caution for the months and years to come:

Outrage is anger which arises from fear which is a deep-seated human response, and farming outrage for attention is not a partisan phenomenon.

Before you spread it, double check your sources.

I think in the near future, it will be especially important to have effective science communicators. As someone who has been doing this for a while, I thought it might be useful to explain my major principles for science communication that I use in my own work 🧵:

I did not think I would be leaving Twitter but it has become so ridiculous. The OBVIOUS increase in bots, conservative ads and right-wing tweets directed my way are in no way reflective of my original algorithm I have curated over the past 15 years. Clearly Elon has had his hand in this.
