long shot but has anyone had any success with raspberry pi pico, rust and wsl?

trying to upgrade dependencies, finally got it compiling, panics.
no debug probe, no will to keep trying.
aborting until the soldering iron can be unpacked and I finally take the plunge to solder the debug headers on to my galactic unicorn
