Today marks 400 years since John Fletcher’s death: the Jacobean playwright died of the plague and was buried at St. Saviour’s (now Southwark Cathedral) on 29 August 1625. I’m guest-editing a special Ben Jonson Journal issue celebrating this anniversary: coming soon!

Any advice? I sent a book proposal to a publisher. After one month I've received no reply whatsoever despite sending a couple of polite reminders. Is not even receiving a simple "Received, thanks" common? How long should I wait before contacting another publisher? Thanks
