i dont think anyone could have oredicted that when comics made it into bookstores, the dominant mode of storytelling would be even more basic than a generic superhero comic. Image on the right makes Dan Jurgens look like a post modern metaphysical poet.

it was some long dive into their relationship and Chomsky's name in the epstein emails, wasnt so horrible, but reading a live ad is pretty funny after all that.

i don't think anyone is paying enough attention to Domino to attempt that!

kinda how I believe The NY Post headlines are this much needed non sequitur of living in the city, this ever present commentary that doesn't make 'sense' but is neccesary.

So many small press publishers I observe seem to have some sort of idea that they are right about what comics should be---and I'm guilty of that too, of course, except in my work around Domino, where I shove that idea aside.

There's a scene in The War Room where, despite all my rational critique of Clinton based on what he actually did via policy, the camera pauses on him sitting in a chair talking on a phone and all I think is 'it's possible he's an actual demon'

The shift into economic chaos that working people went through during Clinton has never really been fully expressed, only hinted at in HRC's defeat. Hopefully some day it'll be common knowledge...

I think for a certain kind of higher ed it's a really bad time

Can't imagine what you do with a degree from there at this point, which is the problem they're facing, no one is enrolling. But if you're a right wing lunatic afraid of Marxist professors, you should be celebrating, this is essentially enemy # 1 for you defeated.

I didn't go to NSSR, but while at The New School I worked in the NSSR library and learned a lot just by seeing what books the PhD students checked out in the incredible Fogelman library archive. Really a gigantic loss if the program truly goes under.
