Today was a disaster for our nation's most vulnerable and for our national character.

I can't change that today, so, even if it feels silly, I'll be asking myself what I CAN do today to add kindness, integrity, helpfulness, and persistence to our world.

Then I'll be doing the hell outta that.

⚖️ When "the greater good" justifies harm... Can utilitarianism protect workplace bullying victims, or does it enable persecution? Discover a new ethical perspective: doi.org/10.17645/si.8406 #Ethics #WorkplaceBullying #MoralDilemmas
While focusing on the consequences of bullying (like utilitarianism does) might not always encourage people to help the victim, relying on their conscience (like the idea of synderesis) is a better way to get people to do the right thing when they witness bullying.

I don't receive cut flowers often, so I treasure them when I do.

These aren't for V-day, but for the publication of my debut novel Ibis earlier this week.

These pretties motivated me to write at 5am this morning! ☺️💚

An introductory post:

I'm an immigrant. My parents were immigrants. Their parents & grandparents, too, were immigrants. The world was not meant to stay still.

I'm a writer, sometimes wishing there was less to write about.

And I'm autistic, recently diagnosed, a whole different kind of journey
