This is not a centre-left govt. That's what was voted in but not what we got.

I can never figure out why (from a UK/EU political spectrum perspective), the US only ever has a choice between a centre-right party and a right wing party.

Vance tried to do the same with Starmer - the only jarring part of that meeting. I suggest watching that again, quite striking in hindsight.

On the plus side, surprised and relieved that the UK right wing press as a whole are standing with Zelenskyy and not Trump. Performative maybe, but it still matters.

I would humbly suggest that you BOTH have a valid point. On balance I would side with Alex, simply because half of your voters support Trump and its (some of) them that have to be won over, not the rest.

I'm amazed that the entire federal workforce doesn't simply go on strike. All the Maga-bots would cheer that to the rafters (marxists will get whats coming to them etc etc!)....until they realised they kinda needed a government.....
